On October 1, 2016, the Public Act 16-51, “An Act Concerning the Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenant Regarding the Treatment of Bed Bug Infestations” took effect. It provides a legal framework for landlords and tenants to respond to bed bug infestations in buildings and appropriate timely remedies.
