Please be advised that the bi-annual Bulk Pick-up Program will take place during the last two full weeks of September, from Sept. 16 – Sept. 27, 2019.
The Town will remove bulky waste items such as refrigerators (State law requires that the door(s) be removed), ranges, sofas, mattresses, tires, and metal goods at no charge to the resident. Bulk items must be placed at the curb by 5:00 a.m. on your regular trash day. Should you miss the September curbside bulk item collection, you may obtain Transfer Station passes and dispose of your bulk items at the Town’s Transfer Station located on Universal Drive.
As a general rule, burnable items are not considered bulk; those items such as:
- Carpets (cut and tied into managable bundles)
- Wooden items (Such as wooden chairs, wooden tables, etc. which can be cut into manageable bundles)
- Other non-metal, non-plastic, burnable items (Cut and tied into manageable bundles)
all fall into the category of regular trash and can be put out with regular trash each week on your normal pickup day.
Please call Field Operations at (203) 239-5321, ext. 410 for information for the aforementioned bulk pick-up.
