Scarlett Lewis, a Newtown mother who lost her son in the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, will present the lecture, “Why Social and Emotional Learning Matters: Teaching Kids to Choose Love,” from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University will hold a food drive Nov. 1 through Nov. 14 to help alleviate hunger in Connecticut. All donations brought to the museum at 3011 Whitney Ave. will benefit the Connecticut Food Bank.

Quinnipiac University School of Law to host Nov. 21 symposium on right-to-die legislation and end-of-life care

“Concerning Aid in Dying,” a symposium addressing the legal, medical and ethical issues surrounding right-to-die legislation and end-of-life care, will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the Quinnipiac University School of Law Center.
