Rockville Bank, a Division of United Bank, announced today that the Business After Hours they hosted with the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce on June 11 was an overwhelming success not only for their new Branch at 2290 Whitney Avenue but for the Hamden Chamber and the four nonprofits who received $1,000 each from the Rockville Bank Foundation.
Kathleen Larkin, the Bank’s Vice President and Area Manager for New Haven County, and William “Bill” Earley, Branch Service Manager for the Hamden Branch, presented the four $1,000 checks on behalf of the Rockville Bank Foundation. Over 100 guests of the Chamber’s Business After Hours enjoyed the “pizza party”, which was catered by the Big Green Pizza Truck.
The following four nonprofits were recipients of the Rockville Bank Foundation’s generosity: ST Ann’s Soup Kitchen; St Rita’s Church Food Pantry; Town of Hamden, Senior Center; and Hamden/North Haven YMCA.
Rockville Bank opened their Hamden location at 2290 Whitney Avenue in January of this year. It is a nearly 2,000 square foot, full-service branch that provides retail and commercial deposit and loan products, investment advisory services, residential mortgage loan origination, small business products, night deposit services, drive-thru teller and ATM.
The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours is a monthly opportunity for Chamber members and others to network and make valuable business contacts.
