Girl Scout Day at the Capitol: Inspiring Future Leaders

The event provided young women with the opportunity to learn about civic engagement, leadership, and the legislative process.

Senior Deputy Republican Leader Paul Cicarella (R-North Haven) on March 11 welcomed Girl Scout members from Durham, North Haven, and Northford to the Capitol for Girl Scout Day at the Capitol 2025, which included nearly 100 Girl Scouts from troops across Connecticut. The event provided young women with the opportunity to learn about civic engagement, leadership, and the legislative process.

“Thanks to the Girl Scouts from Durham, North Haven, and Northford for making the trip to Hartford to learn more about the legislative process and how they can become future civic leaders,” said Sen. Cicarella. “I hope that all of the talented young women I spoke with were inspired to pursue public service, as they have much to offer our community.”
