Sen. Cicarella Sworn-in for Third Term, Will Offer Solutions for Affordability, Public Safety & Opportunity

Urges residents reach out to contact him with ideas and concerns.

Senior Deputy Republican Leader Paul Cicarella (R-North Haven) today entered his third term representing the 34th State Senate District as the General Assembly began the 2025 legislative session. Building on his bipartisan efforts of 2024, he will continue to offer solutions to improve key quality-of-life issues for families, businesses, and seniors of the district.

Specifically, Sen. Cicarella will offer additional measures to lower the soaring cost of energy, promote public safety and prevent future violent street takeovers in the area, as well as create more opportunities for well-paying careers through new workforce training and pipeline programs.

Sen. Cicarella said, “I have been honored to serve as your state senator, and I am looking forward to another term as the voice of all families in the 34th District. I am committed to the people of our district and will work as a Senate Republican leader to continue our message for an affordable and safe state with opportunities for all residents, no matter their age or background. Our state should be one that works for all families, and that is my goal.

“We must help the thousands of families and businesses struggling to pay their energy bills. This is a situation that has been going on for far too long. I also look forward to reintroducing measures that bring consequences for those who choose to break the law, especially those involved with violent street takeovers. I have several commonsense proposals that I look forward to introducing.

“I’m also looking forward to building on workforce measures from the past two years that will boost careers in the trades and other vocational opportunities because employers across our district need skilled workers. There are so many people who can attain great careers if we help them with the tools to do so.”

Sen. Cicarella urged all residents who are interested in having their voice and ideas heard on issues before the Connecticut General Assembly to contact him at Paul.Cicarella@cga.ct.gov or visit www.SenatorCicarella.com. The 2025 legislative session concludes on June 4.
