Licensed by the state of Connecticut, Quinnipiac’s physician assistant program leads to a master of health sciences degree and provides the clinical and academic preparation needed for the diverse responsibilities undertaken by physician assistants. Quinnipiac is a member of the Physician Assistant Education Association and accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA). The program is currently ranked fifth out of 160 programs nationally by U.S. News & World Report.

In recent years, the role and importance of the physician assistant have grown dramatically, and qualified PAs are among the most sought-after professionals in health care.
Quinnipiac’s 27-month program provides intensive course work in the biologic and the applied sciences followed by an extensive year of clinical education rotations in primary and specialty medical practice in a variety of settings.
The mission of Quinnipiac’s physician assistant program is to increase access to quality health care through the education and development of caring, knowledgeable and competent physician assistants who are dedicated to professionalism, leadership, community outreach and cultural competence.
